The topics covered by the exam are periodic trends, lewis structures, resonance structures, electron configuration of ions, bond polarity (dipole), exceptions to the octet rule, molecular geometry, molecular polarity (dipole), hybrid orbitals, molecular orbitals, and energy of bond formation.
